Morning Sickness Is Hell!!

After getting over the initial shock of being pregnant, I was actually having good some days. I wasn’t sick and I was able to run my errands all day. I thought maybe this time my morning sickness wouldn't come this go around. I had a lot of important things coming up in the next weeks and being sick wasn't one of them. I had a radio interview in Las Vegas and I had my friends wedding going on all in the same week. My man was being very supportive and making sure I felt ok, by helping me out any way possible. The drove to Las Vegas morning sickness free and killed my radio interview. The next day drove back to California only do last minute errands for my friends wedding the next day and still no morning sickness. The weeks went by and I started to believe that maybe this pregnancy was going to be different, no sickness. Nope, I was sadly mistaken, I started to get sick as hell around week 6. I laid in bed day in and day out, wanting to do nothing but feel better. I tried everything from ginger ale, sucking lemons, hot water with lemons, and these methods would ease the morning sickness for a few days, but back again sick as shit. I couldn’t take the sickness anymore, I asked my man to take me to the hospital and they gave me Zofran and that helped a lot. The doctor told me I was dehydrated from not having enough water in my system. I could not drink because I would throw the fluids up. The doctor had me on three bags of IV fluid and Zofran for nausea. I started to feel much better once the Zofran was in my system. I was released to go home and my man took me to Denny’s to get something to eat before I went home. I was feeling much better, got home and slept the day away. I felt cured because I now have my Zofran prescription and the morning sickness would be gone.

After two weeks of taking the Zofran, I started to feel that sickness all over again. I said to myself this baby is once again taking over this pregnancy and I can’t do anything about it. My body was being abducted by a little human being growing inside of me. I finally went to see my doctor and he prescribes me B6 vitamins and Unisom for my sickness. He told me I will be sleepy, but I had to take it three times a day and I will feel better. I thought to myself yes sure another method that won’t work, but to my surprise, it WORKED! I feel better, I have my days but its durable to handle. I take my pills like clockwork, I have been able to pick up my son, take him to his music practice, go, mentor, so I’m happy I’m feeling better. As long as I take my pills the sickness is dissipated. So ladies if you’re out there and having bad morning sickness ask your doctor about Vitamin B6 and Unisom for your treatment.

Talk to you all soon!
